About Gidget Foundation Australia's services:
- Gidget House provides free individual psychological counselling sessions (a maximum of 10 sessions) for expectant and new parents, delivered face-to-face from various locations in NSW, QLD, and VIC.
- Start Talking Telehealth is a national service that provides free telehealth psychological counselling services (a maximum of 10 sessions) for expectant and new parents delivered via a video call service, similar to FaceTime, Zoom or Skype.
- Gidget Emotional Wellbeing Screening Program promotes the early detection of perinatal depression and anxiety (PNDA) through a hospital pre-admission appointment with a trained Gidget midwife.
- Gidget Village is an online group treatment program.
- Gidget Virtual Village connects you with a peer support group via Facebook.
- Gidget’s online resources can be used by anyone looking for further understanding of PNDA and support options.
Who they're for
Gidget Foundation Australia’s services are for expectant and new parents experiencing or at risk of developing perinatal depression, anxiety or perinatal-related stress conditions. Support is available from conception up until the baby is 12 months old.
Gidget Foundation Australia also provides support services to people who have experienced birth trauma or pregnancy-related loss, e.g. termination, miscarriage, stillbirth, baby and infant death.

- Current or enduring psychosis
- Current serious suicidal, homicidal or infanticidal ideation

- Current child protection and/or family violence or issues requiring Department of Community and Justice involvement.
