Blue Knot Foundation is a national organisation that helps people who experience the impacts of complex trauma to recover and build resilience.
They also offer counselling and support for people living with disability who have experienced or witnessed someone being hurt, treated badly or exploited.

You can call National Counselling and Referral Service - Disability on 1800 421 468 between 9am-6pm Monday to Friday and between 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday and public holidays.

They offer short term, trauma-informed counselling and referrals through the Blue Know website to people with disability with experiences of violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation or those impacted by the Disability Royal Commission.

What happens when you call
- If you call and they can't answer your call straight away, it will go to voicemail
- You can choose to leave a message or not. If you choose to leave a message, please leave your area code
- If you leave a message, a counsellor will return your call as soon as possible.
- If they can't reach you, they will leave a message on your voicemail
- Calls from the Helpline and Redress Support Service to you will show as blocked calls
- All calls out of hours will be returned during normal operating hours.
Translation, hearing and speech services
The Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service have bilingual counsellors who speak Armenian, French and German.
National Counselling and Referral Service - Disability have a number of bilingual counsellors who speak the following languages:
- Turkish
- Hebrew
- Hindi
- Gujarati
- Punjabi (understands well, but speaks less fluently).

If you are deaf or have a hearing or speech impairment you can use the National Relay Service on 133 677.
