What they do
Blue Knot provides information and support for anyone affected by complex trauma*.
The Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Service can connect you with a specialised trauma counsellor to access:
- Short-term counselling support
- Information
- Referrals for ongoing support
- Information about the National Redress Scheme
- Support with redress applications.
*Complex trauma is repeated, ongoing, and often extreme trauma that happens between people (often called interpersonal trauma). This includes violence, abuse, neglect or exploitation experienced as a child, young person and adult.

Blue Knot provides support for:
- Adult survivors of childhood trauma including abuse
- Partners, family members, friends, and supporters of survivors
- Professionals and service personnel supporting survivors.

- What happens when you call the Blue Knot Helpline?
- If you call and they can't answer your call straight away, it will go to voicemail
- You can choose to leave a message or not. If you choose to leave a message, please leave your area code
- If you leave a message, a counsellor will return your call as soon as possible.
- If they can't reach you, they will leave a message on your voicemail
- Calls from the Helpline and Redress Support Service to you will show as blocked calls
- All calls out of hours will be returned during normal operating hours.
