Get involved

Events

Lifeline has a variety of events you can get involved with throughout the year. Your support will raise important funds to help provide critical support and suicide prevention services for Australians in need.

An infographic of the 5 senses technique for grounding. It lists: 5 things you can see (with an eye icon), 4 things you can feel (with a hand icon), 3 things you can hear (with an ear icon), 2 things you can smell (with a nose icon), and 1 thing you can taste (with a mouth icon). The text encourages taking a moment to look at your surroundings and list these things either in your head or out loud.

Three women in colourful leis smile on a beach next to their stand-up paddleboards. The woman on the left, in a white cap and T-shirt, holds a paddle. The middle woman, also in a white T-shirt and a purple cap, has her arm around the third woman. The third woman, in a pink long-sleeved top and a light-coloured hat, stands with one foot on a paddleboard and her arms raised in a cheerful pose. Other paddleboarders are visible in the water behind them.

Paddle Across the Bay

Join us in Melbourne for Australia’s largest Stand-Up Paddleboard event in support of Lifeline. We’re paddling 10km on Port Phillip Bay on Saturday, 14th March and we hope you can join us for an incredible day on the water.

Plus when you register you’ll automatically go in the draw to win a brand new paddle board thanks to Red Equipment!

Four people are jogging along a paved path in a lush park. They are seen from behind, but one woman in the middle has turned her head and is smiling at the camera. All four are wearing white singlets with the Lifeline logo and the text "Proudly supporting Lifeline. Seek help. Find hope." The path is bordered by green grass and large, leafy trees. In the background, a white gazebo with a grey roof is partially visible amongst the foliage. The overall impression is one of health, community, and support.

Run the Tan

Join Team Lifeline and Run the Tan on Sunday, 26th April. This iconic Melbourne event is back in 2026 and is suitable for runners of all abilities.

Register now and creating your fundraising page in support of Lifeline to help ensure our phone, text and online chat services continue to operate 24/7.

Out of the Shadows Walk

Each year, we come together on World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September) to walk 9kms to remember the 9 lives lost to suicide each day in Australia.

You can walk to remember a loved one, as a personal tribute for a friend or family member, or to show your support for Australians experiencing emotional distress or mental illness.

In 2025, our amazing community raised more than $3.9 million to ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.

Express your interest today to join Out of The Shadows in 2026.
